K: Please introduce yourself!

R: My name is Reem Bitar. I am from Lebanon and I am 26 years old. I hold a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. I have varied work experience; Administration, Customer service, Project management, Compliance, Content writing, and HR operations.

I love LinkedIn. I started my journey last year where I create content related to HR, culture, leadership, women empowerment, and mental health.

Throughout my working experience, I have met and worked with diverse people from different nationalities. I enjoy learning about different cultures and the way people think.

K: Describe yourself in your own words

R: I would describe myself as a hard-working individual that knows well where I am heading. I create my own plans and I set my own goals. In the past months, I have been working towards finding a great job that will satisfy me. I just found it and I am now allocating more time to do the activities that I like and to meet my friends.

I value integrity, honesty, dedication, learning, and ambition.

I love to live a simple yet meaningful life.

I enjoy contemporary dance, hiking, biking, horse riding, singing, and fire nights.

I enjoy listening to other people thoughts & lifestyles, especially things related to social issues & topics. I have a circle of close good people that I admire.

I celebrate Chocolate’s day every year! I like to open gifts, you’ll see me turn into an innocent kid then. 😊

K: What is your favorite thing about yourself?

R: My favorite things about myself are these two: My heart and having a high level of self-awareness. I know very well what strengths I have and what areas need development. I work on myself so that I become a better person every time. I truly love the combination of things that I have and which I feel blessed about, which are being authentic, real, spontaneous, not complicated, loves life, wise, strong, sensitive, highly empathetic, flexible, ambitious, supportive, mindful, kind, and funny sometimes. Besides, if I believe in you, I support you till the end. I’ll celebrate with you, get your back, and hold you when life puts you down.

K: Have you had an experience that has defined you or made you stronger?

R: Life is not always easy and it is not perfect as well. I remember the time I conducted a virtual training for some employees. It was my first time. I was too self conscious because I will be speaking in front of many people. I kept pushing myself to be in this place because I needed to face my fears and be stronger. It went very well! I recently created a schedule to further improve this!

Face your fears, do not limit yourself, you can do it!

K: What is one piece of advice you would give to your younger self?

R: You are more beautiful and valuable than you ever know. Honor yourself and take care of it. You will live a healthy life and you will attract the people that cherish it. You are a diamond that is very rare and won’t change.

K: What does being a woman mean to you?

R: Being a woman means being a safe place to come to whenever you feel down. It is simply a Home. Being a woman means being beautiful, smart, respectful, successful, and very supportive.

K: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?

R: Every woman has a unique story that I would love to hear and learn from. A shout-out to all women out there who have been helping themselves to rise despite what they have been through.
