Maha
Maha is passionate learner and leader. A year after completing her Master’s in media and marketing, Covid-19 hit. But Maha took advantage of the quiet brought on from the pandemic. She hosted her own webinar, which led to her earning a professional certificate as a certified translator. She's determined to apply everything she's learned to help others gain access to their own knowledge. Maha sets new goals on a regular basis and works hard to achieve them, no matter what hurdles stand in her way. Meet Maha. This is her story.
P: Please introduce yourself!
M: Maha is a 21 years old Lebanese young lady, who's working on her Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Management at Lebanese International University. Maha currently is working in contention writing and translation fields locally and internationally. Her main interests are in Social Media and Digital Marketing, which led her to pursue a double Master's in Education and Social Media Marketing.
P: Describe or define yourself in your own words.
M: Spiritualism, goodness, and persistence.
P: What is your favourite thing about yourself?
M: I think one of the fixed things I'd never change in myself is persistence.
P: Tell us a story. Have you had an experience that’s defined you or made you stronger?
M: After graduating almost one year ago, I felt I needed something different to do and so began my journey into the media world. It started from a very simple online webinar, which lit up a lamp, and led me to pursue a professional certificate from the Arab Professional Translators Society as an "Accredited Professional Translator".
Like many of us, Covid-19 made us stuck at home doing nothing but just sitting around with the family, no work, no universities, just sitting - yet I didn't let it pass easily, I benefit from every single second passing. So the journey began, which made me who I am today and I expected all this to happen!
Like many people, I faced many circumstances (physically and mentally) but despite everything, I didn't let these things control me. And now I'm the "positive outcomes" of all these impediments. For some people, I'm considered "The Warrior Maha" (how some people call me), to myself, I'm Maha who never lets things down. One last thing is "Do what you fear, and fear disappears".
P: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
M: A piece of advice I'd like to give is to never let circumstances change our well-being, and to think twice no matter what.
P: What does being a woman mean to you?
M: Being a woman isn't an easy task, yet I prefer not to be labeled as a "woman", I'm simply a human being!
P: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say if they were here now?
M: If I started counting people I won't stop, so it's better not to answer.
