Meet Jessica. This is her story.
K: Please introduce yourself!
J: My name is Aziza Jaye from the UK.
K: Describe yourself in your own words
J: I am the girl that sings with the purple hair and a mother to a little girl and a puppy.
I am a deeply spiritual person who loves the law of attraction and I get a buzz from making people feel positive or inspired.
I started my musical journey at age 14 after winning a local singing competition and over the years I have performed around the world and now I am developing my beat making skills and focusing on my solo artist career.
K: What is your favorite thing about yourself?
J: I love that I am able to keep going and find lessons in the things that may set me back, then use that to inspire others.
K: Tell us a story. Have you had an experience that has defined you or made you stronger?
J: I really feel that having a child at 19 for many would have been a time to slow down or quit the dream, but for me, it was that defining moment where my mum said, "If you're gonna quit music we will be falling out.” I then replied, “But it’s all I know how to do.” I have very much doubted myself, like I think we all have, but that moment has stuck with me in moving forward with my passion, especially now that I have little eyes watching me!
K: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
J: Things won't always go the way you want, but they will shape you into who you need to be to get what you want.
K: What does being a woman mean to you?
J: Well we are the only beings that can bring life into this world so it means we're pretty special!
K: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?
J: The little woman that inspires me is my daughter. It has taken me YEARS of life lessons to pass on to and teach her, but she absolutely gives better advice than me at 9 years of age! I'd say to her, just keep on being you, you're amazing at it!
