Azahara is a fearless thrill-seeker who enjoys exploring the world, especially from thousands of feet in the air. As a competitive paraglider, her thirst for adventure and instinctive nature has brought her great success in this extreme sport. She continues to bring her skills to new heights and her athletic capabilities to new terrains, from rocking climbing, to adventure biking and surfing. Meet Azahara. This is her story.
K: Please introduce yourself!
A: My name is Azahara and I compete in paragliding. This year I went to the World Championship in Macedonia, getting good results.
K: Describe yourself in your own words
A: Daring and adventurous, I like challenges.
K: What is your favorite thing about yourself?
A: I don’t believe in limits.
K: Tell us a story. Have you had an experience that has defined you or made you stronger?
A: The last year, I had an accident, in less than a year I came back to competition.
K: What is one piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
A: Believe in you.
One phrase I really like is: “If they copy you, you have found a model of success; but if they also criticize you, they don't know how to copy you.”
K: What does being a woman mean to you?
A: For me it’s an advantage.
K: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to them if they were here now?
A: My mother inspires me. I would thank her for giving the best advice.
