Sarah
Sarah is always honest. She speaks her mind, cares deeply, is incredibly loyal to those she loves and is always up for an adventure. Meet Sarah. This is her story.
P: Please introduce yourself!
S: My name is Sarah McAllister, I'm 29 years old from Western Sydney in Australia. I currently live with my parents, dog and 2 birds whilst I'm saving for a house. I work 3 jobs as a teachers assistant, in hospitality and in before and after school care.
P: Please describe or define yourself in your own words.
S: I find it hard to describe myself because I feel I am a little bit of everything. I'd like to think of myself as kind, strong willed, honest (too honest at times lol), resilient, a bit of a grublet, independent, a little indecisive and a fun, positive person to be around.
I am always unapologetically me.
P: What is your favourite thing about yourself?
S: My favourite thing would have to be my resilience and my new found strength and will power.
P: Tell us a story, what's an experience that has defined you or made you stronger?
P: I have two. The first would have to be the amount of times I have been rejected by either friends or men. My early 20s wasn't always rainbows and butterflies, it was a deep and dark place filled with a lot of rejection. Having to learn to get out of that place without wanting to show the pain on the outside was definitely hard, but it's made me stronger and more resilient to rejection.
Another would be moving home from overseas in 2017. I did two fun filled, adventure packed years in the mountains…which were incredible, but super unhealthy. I quit smoking when I got back and really focused on my health and fitness. 3yrs and 20kgs down - I'm happy, healthy and strong!
P: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
S: Save a little harder, study a little harder and adventure a lot more.
P: What does being a woman mean to you?
S: It means having the strength to be hurt and still go on, to be kind when things aren't always kind and just to be a badass who can defy all odds.
P: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?
S: My mum.
I love and appreciate who you've helped me become. You're strong, honest and always try to put others before yourself. You are incredible.
