One of the most precious gifts you’ll ever receive is time. It’s the one thing we can’t create more of — there are only 24 hours in each day — so protect it and use it wisely.

P: Please introduce yourself!

Q: I’m Quin Brewington, an award-winning writer, communications strategist, over-40 influencer and content producer. I love to say, if “Life Begins after 40” was a person, it would probably look a lot like me. That’s because I didn’t find my ‘thing’ – which is educating, empowering and equipping women over 40 with actual and actionable tools and resources designed to make the next phase of life the best phase of life – until I was well into my 40s.

I started my SisterLadyGirl blog at the age of 44, found my voice and landed my first major brand deal at 48 and went on to earn my Master’s degree in Communications at 51 because I wanted to understand how to use the voice I’d found to help others like me.

P: Describe or define yourself in your own words.

Q: See that if “Life Begins after 40” comment above.

P: What is your favourite thing about yourself?

Q: I wasn’t brave when I was younger. Now, I’m doing things I never dreamed were possible for me. As a result of pursuing those things that bring me joy, I now feel like I’m living instead of just existing.

P: Tell us a story. Have you had an experience that’s defined you or made you stronger?

Q: When I graduated from college, the Internet was barely a thing. In my late 40s, I decided to go back to school to freshen up my skills. It was hard. It was uncomfortable. But, it was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. My experience in grad school showed me it’s never too late to completely reboot your life and make fulfillment and purpose a priority. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping women in their middle years see, think and feel differently about their health, wealth and self as they get older.

P: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?

Q: One of the most precious gifts you’ll ever receive is time. It’s the one thing we can’t create more of — there are only 24 hours in each day — so protect it and use it wisely.

P: What does being a woman mean to you?

Q: I feel like there’s never been a better time to be a woman. There are so many opportunities I have that my mother and grandmother didn’t. I have more freedom to forge my own path and I’m grateful for that.

Q: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?

P: I’m inspired by everyday modern midlife women who have a desire to reinvent themselves in the second half of their lives. I would say: go, do and be! The only thing holding you back is you.
