Marina
Marina is a true optimist and adventure seeker. From the skate park to the terrain park, she is constantly challenging herself and pushing her boundaries. She is on a quest to live life to the fullest while staying true to her authentic self. Meet Marina. This is her story.
K: Please introduce yourself!
M: Name’s Marina, a half french half English, snowboard loving, skateboard admiring, all around fun loving, living life, 30 year old!
K: Describe yourself in your own words
M: I would describe myself as a person who is on a quest to live life to the fullest.
K: What is your favourite thing about yourself?
M: My favourite thing about myself is that I have managed to teach myself to thrive in criticism rather than shy away because of it, f*** the haters.
K: Tell us a story. Have you had an experience that’s defined you or made you stronger?
M: My whole life is a story, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without everything and everyone that’s happened to me, so all I can say is that whether you were a good or bad story, THANK YOU.
K: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
M: I would tell my younger self to stop being so afraid of failure. Everything that may seem like a failure is just a success in a different light. Stray off the beaten path and be true to yourself. Believe that not everyone’s definition of what should be is right.
K: What does being a woman mean to you?
M: Being a woman to me means being powerful & fearless.
K: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?
M: There is no one woman in particular that I admire. From 5 year olds to pro athletes, girls now are transcending barriers, exceeding expectations, and generally killing it. For so long we’ve been boxed into being a certain way, I hope the world is ready for a change, because ready or not, we’re coming!
