K: Please introduce yourself!

D: Hi, I am Divyani Shree. I'm 21 years old, and belong to Patna, India. I am a student, an artist (@ourpaintbox), a fashion blogger (divslookbook.com), and a dancer. I like reading books and making paintings. I am enthusiastic about learning new skills.

I am happiest in an artistic environment and enjoy taking a gander at beautiful natural views. I love being in front of and behind the camera. I am an introvert and nature lover who finds euphoria being in nature.

K: Describe yourself in your own words.

D: I would describe myself as a very curious person who wants to know about everything. Also, I'm protective, emotional, intuitive, artistic, caring. I am more of a secretive person but a decent listener as I learn a lot from listening to others.

I am Sapiosexual - pulled in by knowledge and humor. I am fiercely independent and more of a joyful and humorous person. I can be very stubborn about the points I make and won't budge on my views unless I am given a very good reason to change them.

I'm hardworking and I push my limits to achieve the things I want. I prefer to avoid looking for sympathy and I’d rather depend on my autonomy and fortitude to overcome an unpleasant circumstance.

Lastly, I would portray myself as a very kind and helpful person.

K: What is your favorite thing about yourself?

D: My favorite thing about myself is I am disciplined, organized, and Independent. I always try to be a better version of myself. I go out of the way to help others and make them happy without expecting anything in return. I like how I keep myself motivated and when I feel low and discouraged, I ricochet back to a blissful life all alone... I don't rely on anyone.

K: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?

D: I would advise my younger self to be fearless, brave, joyful, and carefree. Explore different things. Listen to people, however, have your very own perspective. Do things whatever and however, you want. Focus on the thing that makes difference to your life and go more enthusiastically to accomplish the goal. Don't be afraid of judgments and losing people.

K: What does being a woman mean to you?

D: Women can be defined as "Calm in Chaos". A woman faces challenges on each progression yet they are strong and kind. I think women should be independent and confident. Being a woman doesn't mean getting married, working in the kitchen, and taking care of the family only. Education, professional life, and relationship status is completely their choice. One should have a voice of her own.

Women should be the way they want to be to feel empowered irrespective of thinking about society's standards, after all, they have a major role in society. I am proud of being a woman.

K: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?

D: My mom inspires me the most. It inspires me how she works every single day to manage the household and take care of the family without getting tired and with no expectations in return. She doesn't show her pain and grief. She sleeps late at night after making sure everyone had their meal and wakes up early morning to make breakfast and lunch. I am grateful that I have her in my life. All the women as a mother make a lot of incomparable sacrifices for their family.

Also, I have an immense amount of respect for all the women out there who are breaking the stereotypes of society and doing great in their life. I admire all the women who can make things happen, change their lives, create a difference, change their society, speak for others, take risks, overcome challenges.
