K: Please introduce yourself!

D: Well..Hello! My name is Denekua Lynch. Introducing myself always makes me feel slightly awkward but let’s give it a go!

I am a 27 year old woman that feels like I’m learning more about “Who I Am” each and everyday. Sometimes it seems the more you learn, the less you know. Does that make sense?

Any who, in my most recent years I have been devoted to developing my skills as a martial artist and an all around athlete. I’m definitely still a work in progress but I aspire to in some way influence, inspire or instruct other women to empower themselves through martial arts and build a community of strong admirable women.

K: Describe yourself in your own words

D: Mmmh, I am super goofy and ironically clumsy! Genuinely laughing is my favorite thing to do. I am equally optimistic as I am pessimistic. I would consider myself a pretty meticulous, analytical and particular individual. But, even for a quiet introverted person like myself, my first option is always to have fun! I love being active and being outdoors in the sun.

K: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?

D: I would tell myself…time is already against us, so don’t be so quick to grow up.

K: What does being a woman mean to you?

D: Whew, in 2021? Im not sure I know this answer. I think it means to me having to be everything you need, when you need it. Realizing that you have to be a Chameleon. To know you have to alter your behavior or beliefs to maneuver and succeed in this world.
