P: Please introduce yourself!
A: Hi! My name is Alisha.
P: Describe or define yourself in your own words.
A: This is such a great question to ask as I feel as women we aren’t asked enough. I would say I’m outgoing, positive, fun adventurous and bubbly!
P: What is your favourite thing about yourself?
A: Also a great question. My favourite thing would be my optimism, communication skills and my ability to get along with almost anyone.
P: Tell us a story, what's an experience that has defined you or made you stronger?
A: Ouuu wow. So many. An experience that has made me stronger was leaving home and starting an epic adventure as a snow bum in the mountains of BC. it was scary to leave family and the comfort of home but was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was able to explore more of our beautiful country of Canada and meet friends from all over the world. It taught me what I really want out of life, and that money and careers are definitely not the most important things. I found what truly drives my soul and I am trying to keep those beliefs close to me every single day.
P: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
A: Don’t try so hard to please other people. Be true to yourself. Listen to your gut and don’t worry about “fitting in.”
P: What does being a woman mean to you?
A: Being a woman means being strong, beautiful and unapologetically fierce!! We are so badass and need to give ourselves more credit every single day. We also need to stop apologizing and being so hard on ourselves! xoxo
A: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?
A: My amazing best friends and roomies from university. No matter where life takes us we are all so loyal and true to each other. We would literally take a bullet for one another and I wish I could live with them and be with them all the time (ew I have to live with a boy now!).
ALSO Michelle Obama because she is a badass. I would tell her that she is so inspiring and a true role model, and also that she is everything the world needs right now.
