Alannah

Being a woman to me means a deep connection. I feel that it allows me to really indulge in feelings and in the feelings of those around me as well. It calls for a great sense of community and I love it here.

Meet Alannah. This is her story.

P: Please introduce yourself!

A: Hey!! my name is Alannah, I am 19 years old and I'm half Thai/half Canadian, currently making music and doing university :D

P: Describe or define yourself in your own words.

A: I would describe myself as someone creative, sensitive, and empathetic.

P: What is your favourite thing about yourself?

A: I love making everyone around me happy and I don't take things too seriously.

P: Tell us a story. Have you had an experience that has defined you or made you stronger?

A: I go through ups and downs the same way everyone does. It's like a rollercoaster I guess. Every time I get on the downs it can really take a toll on me, but every time I come back up I become stronger as an individual and more aware and just better overall, and I ride that up until it falls down. This rollercoaster that I'm on is more fun than it is anything else.

P: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?

A: I would tell her to stay strong and stay true to who you are.

P: What does being a woman mean to you?

A: Being a woman to me means a deep connection. I feel that it allows me to really indulge in feelings and in the feelings of those around me as well. It calls for a great sense of community and I love it here hehe.

P: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to them if they were here now?

A: My mother 100% is someone who inspires me so much. She has made me who I am today and has been through so much to get to where she is today. She's one of the most kind-hearted loving people I have met and I am so lucky to have such a strong independent bad a$$ mother.

I would tell her I'm sorry for being difficult at times haha but I love you so much and thank you for everything you've done <33
