K: What is your favorite thing about yourself?

A: I love pondering, contemplating and musing over things… instead of taking the easy route of picking a side. Yes or no. Right or wrong. Black or white. I enjoy living in the gray spaces for as long as I need to, and taking my time to grow into my answers … no matter how long it takes.

K: Tell us a story. Have you had an experience that has defined you or made you stronger?

A: My Dad walked out on me and my mom when I was seven. I stopped being a kid right at that moment.

K: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?

A: Slow down. Inhale, exhale. The beauty of life is in the NOW.

K: What does being a woman mean to you?

A: Being a woman is to have the amazing superpower to transform trauma, pain and sadness into boundless love, compassion and joy.

K: Who is one woman that inspires you? What would you say to her if she were here now?

A: Hi Mom! You are the strongest, most resilient, loving, kind and generous person I know. I miss you.
